Costs

KCP is an affordable program.

Program Costs

While other Japanese language programs may cost between $12,000 and $17,000 per semester, the KCP program costs $7,000 or less—about half the cost! Academic credit and financial aid are available through Western Washington University. You should be able to apply federal and state financial aid to this program.

Students commend our program as both an excellent value and an effective learning experience.

To gain academic credit for your study abroad, apply for the KCP program through Western Washington University. Usually, it is not difficult to arrange transfer credit toward U.S. degrees, since KCP courses are offered at recognized institutions. However, it is the responsibility of your home institution to approve the amount of credit to transfer. At the end of the program, every participant receives an official university transcript. Course descriptions are available to help evaluate transfer credit.

Testimonials

The office staff were incredible. Tanaka-san and Michiko-san were very involved with the American students, following up on any problems. They escorted me to doctors (more than once) and helped me get my medication. Without their kindness, I would’ve been in a lot of trouble.
