I loved living at Risa Nakameguro. In particular, the dorm managers—the Nakamuras—were incredibly helpful and welcoming. I felt as if I had always lived there and was continually comfortable. I cannot recommend them enough.

I was very pleased with the general living arrangements, particularly because my dorm was in the center of Tokyo and I had the most wonderful dorm manager—someone I wish could be a KCP teacher.

I really liked living in Yokohama! It was a really great dorm and the staff were so nice! The other people who lived me with were really nice as well. We always got to use our Japanese, and the other residents helped a lot with our Japanese.

Ikebukuro is a good location and the dorm is very nice. I appreciated my own bathroom and cooking area. Plus, having 7-Eleven so close was very convenient.

The dorm was clean, food was excellent, and my dorm mates were very friendly. The dorm was a great way to practice speaking Japanese with native speakers, since most of the other people living there were college students.

Hiyoshi student house was amazing because I was living with 800 Japanese students.

I cannot emphasize enough the benefits of staying with a host family. I stayed with an absolutely wonderful family, and even now, a year later, I have kept in contact with them via letters and presents to the children.
—Kevin Egan
I stayed with a Japanese host family, so I was able to develop my conversational skills both at school and at home. The family spoke almost nothing but Japanese to me and helped me with any impromptu questions in a very friendly, informative way.
—Brandi Potts
The homestay experience is a great way to see Japanese daily life and to become a part of it. I had to give up some independence and take part in my family (including curfews, chores, etc.), but was completely worth it. For using my language, it was great.

The student office for U.S. students was wonderfully helpful, both with school affairs and in helping to arrange activities and connections unrelated to KCP. I truly appreciated this help.
