The speech contest is always fun!

Why did you select this program?

The location was appealing, classes are taught in Japanese, and I've heard great things about it.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Textbooks, worksheets, conversations with others

Where did you reside over the course of this program?

Where did you live?

KCP Ikebukuro dorm

Were you pleased with the general living arrangements? Anything you especially liked? Any problems you experienced?

Walking to Ikebukuro station is a hassle, so I used Kanamecho station instead. I enjoyed having a place to cook and hang laundry in my room, but I do wish there were more storage spaces in the room. The dorm manager and other residents were very kind.

Frankly, it seemed like the best. The other programs I looked at were either heavily geared towards Chinese and Korean students or prohibitively expensive. Plus, KCP has a long history and a LOT of alumni who openly praise the program online — and I hope to be among them!
