Which events or activities did you find the most satisfying and why?

I enjoyed the tea ceremony and the sushi/Japanese dessert class because I wouldn't have done it on my own.

What were the most productive and interesting aspects of the program for you? The least interesting and productive?

Learning grammar and sentence structure that Japanese use versus a text book, reviewing material in group session and then reviewing the same material for over a month in regular classes.

What activities or materials did you find most helpful (e.g., pair work, drill practice, tests, small group sessions, textbooks, games)?

Small group sessions and practice conversations were the most helpful for me.

Any suggestions for improving class activities or materials?

More structured speaking time.

If you’re looking for an intensive course, then KCP is the place to go! Although it was hard work, it was also a lot of fun and I’m very pleased with my current language skill – and I’ve only just finished Level 1! Going out with the class for a final dinner really showed me how much we’d learnt as we had no problems in conveying our feelings even though our only common language was Japanese. I’d come back in a heartbeat.
