Most helpful for me was the pair work, drill practice, and small group sessions.

Chase from Fall 2015

Everything was pretty productive and interesting depending on the goals that you had set forth for yourself. I can’t find anything that I found boring, and not productive.

Attending class everyday alongside Chinese and Korean students was a unique and worldly experience that I really enjoyed.

It (the program) seemed rigorous yet fair and taught at a pace that would teach me everything I wanted without wasting time.

Glenn from Fall 2015

Personally I found the classes themselves to be the most satisfying. The teachers were extremely helpful and motivated and while they taught at a fast pace they did everything they could to ensure the students understood the material.

I always enjoy activities where we get to take trips somewhere.

I think you should only consider the KCP program if you are serious about learning Japanese, and not if it’s just a passing fascination. With any language in general, it takes a lot of dedication to be able to learn one, so it shouldn’t be taken lightly.

The activities I enjoyed most were the ones that involved either the whole school or my class (as opposed to the culture class excursions). I liked them because they gave me many different scenarios to practice using Japanese in.

Francesca from Fall 2015

What I like most about this program is the fact that there are multiple teachers for each class. This enables the students to benefit from each teacher’s style of teaching rather than only being exposed to one.

I really enjoyed the overnight trip. I never had a chance to travel outside of the city before. It was the best mini trip of my life. Being able to see Mt. Fuji was a magical experience!

Shanti from Fall 2015

The overnight trip really helped me see a more quiet part of Japan. It showed me there was more to Japan than just the rush of the city, but it also gave me a new appreciation of the convenience of the city.

Overall, excellent program and I for one am glad to have been a part of such a great group of people that I met during my time here.

Derrick from Fall 2015

The most productive and interesting aspect was the chance to practice my Japanese with fellow classmates from different backgrounds and getting to know some of my good friends that I would have never otherwise met.
